Job Title: Welder Fabricator
Job Description
The Welder Fabricator is responsible for fabricating and welding components used in production, ensuring all work meets drawing specifications, safety protocols, approved weld procedures, and quality assurance standards. This role requires strong technical welding skills, precise fabrication abilities, and a consistent focus on safety, accuracy, and high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities

• Fit and weld complex assemblies in accordance with standard work instructions and detailed blueprints.
• Perform high-quality welds using GTAW (TIG) processes in positions 1F through 4F while maintaining consistent weld integrity.
• Apply MIG, flux core, and TIG welding techniques on a variety of materials, including stainless steel and pipe, as required by production needs.
• Safely and effectively operate a range of hand and air tools, including die grinders, angle grinders, drills, skill saws, and gouging equipment.
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints to ensure components are built to exact specifications.
• Maintain close attention to precision measurements and fabrication details to deliver accurate and high-quality finished products.
• Demonstrate quality-at-source practices by self-inspecting welds and fabricated assemblies throughout the process to uphold quality standards.
• Safely perform complex crane lifts and material handling tasks in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Handle and move materials and equipment, including lifting up to 50 lbs., while performing tasks that require manual dexterity.
• Follow all safety protocols and approved weld procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proficiency in MIG welding, with the ability to consistently produce high-quality welds.
• Experience with flux core welding processes in industrial or fabrication settings.
• Ability to perform TIG (GTAW) welding, including positions 1F through 4F.
• Demonstrated skill in pipe welding and working with stainless steel materials.
• Ability to read, understand, and work from blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and fabrication work.
• Capability to safely operate hand and air tools such as die grinders, angle grinders, drills, skill saws, and gouging equipment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• Commitment to following safety protocols, approved weld procedures, and quality assurance standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preferred experience with MIG, flux core, and TIG welding processes, with MIG being the most critical skill.
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments, particularly in fabrication-focused roles.
• Familiarity with quality-at-source practices, including self-inspection of work throughout the fabrication process.
• Comfort working with stainless steel and pipe welding applications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team while maintaining high quality standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot fabrication and welding issues as they arise.

Work Environment
This role is based in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility where temperatures can be high, particularly during warmer seasons. Work is performed in an industrial setting with welding equipment, fabrication tools, and overhead cranes. Team members should be comfortable in a busy production environment and prepared for physically active work throughout the shift.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Granbury, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
