Overview Sam’s Club #6414, 3540 E Franklin Blvd, Gastonia, NC 28056-6297 Responsibilities Maintain facility and sales‑floor safety by conducting regular safety sweeps, following forklift and hazardous‑material handling requirements, complying with steel standards, and promptly reporting unsafe conditions. Ensure the Tire and Battery Center (TBC) sales floor is organized, stocked, zoned, and merchandised according to company policies, managing claims, returns, shrink, and damages. Present and maintain merchandise presentation: stock, set up, clean, and organize product displays; remove damaged goods; sign, price, and secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise. Monitor tire and battery orders daily, assist members with appointments, communicate lead‑time changes or cancellations, and suggest alternative options. Provide expert member service by greeting members, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing and service decisions, and resolving concerns; recommend suitable tire and battery products, explain warranties, and ensure members receive optimal service and value. Drive sales and service excellence in the TBC by communicating product value, collaborating with club associates, and promoting member awareness of TBC offerings. Triage and prioritize service workflow in TBC service bays, using Sam’s Garage to identify waiting members, understand time requirements, and maximize service efficiency. Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, tire and battery industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, seasonality, Point‑of‑Sale systems, phone, and in‑person selling techniques. Leverage technology by using digital tools and handheld devices to plan sales, enhance the service experience, make real‑time business decisions, and encourage adoption of new tools among team members. Act as a brand advocate, model high‑quality service, influence team members, and assist in training. Complete vehicle service requests and tests, operate TBC equipment safely, receive/store/dispose merchandise and supplies, maintain documents, and process member purchases, returns, refunds, and exchanges per procedure. Comply with company policies, procedures, and integrity standards, including the Open Door Policy and ethics requirements. Manage work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, and business partners; communicate progress; and adapt to change and feedback. Qualifications Valid state‑issued driver’s license. 18 years of age or older. Preferred Qualifications Auto‑service industry experience. Retail experience.
