Speech-Language Therapist

Job Type: Part-Time / School-Year Schedule Location: BIE Cheyenne-Eagle Butte School, 122 East Street, Eagle Butte, South Dakota Schedule: 3 days per week, 8 hours per day, for 44 weeks during the school year Requirements Current, valid, and unrestricted South Dakota license to independently practice Speech-Language Therapy, with applicable professional certification. Minimum 2 years of school-based Speech-Language Therapy experience, including work with students with special needs. Experience developing, implementing, monitoring, and updating IEPs. Strong knowledge of South Dakota and Federal special education requirements, evaluations, eligibility, and timelines. Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to complete required background/security clearance. Experience with Native American students is preferred. Duties Provide speech-language therapy to special education students in accordance with their IEPs. Conduct evaluations and reevaluations, prepare reports, and develop or update IEPs. Monitor student goals, maintain accurate therapy records, and document student progress. Participate in IEP/eligibility meetings and coordinate with teachers, parents, Special Education staff, and school leadership.
