As a Saw Operator with Central Steel & Wire, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and quality when cutting material in accordance with technical drawings and specifications. This position is a 3rd shift role. The hours for this position are Sunday through Thursday from 10:30pm to 7:00am.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Operating saw equipment to cut materials to specified dimensions with accuracy and precision
• Inspecting cut pieces to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
• Perform routine maintenance on the saw equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Troubleshoot any issues with equipment to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others
• Picking and staging feedstock for fulfillment orders
• Breaking down bulk bundles for customer-specific orders
• Packaging of material to customer requirements
• Operating a sit-down or side loader forklift to move material as needed
• Proper completion of paperwork and SAP work order confirmation for shipping/receiving on the computer
• Maximum productivity for finished goods creation

Requirements

Successfully pass a skills-based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspection & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills

Minimum 2 years of similar job experience preferred

Regular attendance

Basic math skills

Basic computer skills and/or comfort using a computer

Physical ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, and mobility

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $25.32 - $28.72 per hour. A starting wage higher than $25.32 per hour is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale.
