Location: Cleveland, OH 44106 – University Circle neighborhood (Cleveland healthcare hub, dining, parks, and lakefront) Assignment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN Unit: Lerner Tower 5 – Cardiac Stepdown (30 beds; cardiac telemetry/step-down unit) Start Date: May 3, 2026 End Date: August 1, 2026 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 – $2,010 Job Requirements / Qualifications Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio At least 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience; cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or progressive care experience preferred Current BLS certification (AHA) ACLS preferred and/or telemetry certification encouraged Completion of required onboarding health screenings (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, Fit Test, 2-Step PPD or IGRA, Physical/Health Statement) Successful completion of skills checklist and competency exams Background check, fingerprinting, and drug screening as part of onboarding Driver's License/State ID Key Responsibilities – Cardiac Stepdown Nurse (RN) Provide expert nursing care to adult patients with complex cardiac conditions in a cardiac stepdown / telemetry setting Perform continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpret telemetry strips for dysrhythmias Manage patients with advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and cardiac implantable devices (VADs, pacemakers, ICDs) Assist with and manage recovery from cardiac procedures including cath lab procedures, ablations, cardioversion, and device implantations Collaborate with cardiology, heart failure, electrophysiology, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans Provide patient and family education on cardiac disease, device care, medications, and discharge planning Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record (EMR) Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with clinical protocols Why join this Cleveland travel nursing opportunity?
