Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Stepdown Unit will provide high-quality patient care to individuals requiring close monitoring and treatment. This role may involve floating to other units, ensuring consistent care across similar patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients and evaluate their progress in the stepdown unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the charting system.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to provide optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent or travel experience in a stepdown unit.
• Active Ohio RN license or compact state license required.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate during orientation with acceptable scores.
