About the Position

TransForce is seeking a dependable CDL A Driver to support local delivery operations for our client in Carol Stream, Illinois. This on-site position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, home-daily routes, and the potential for temp-to-perm employment.

Pay & Schedule Details

Pay: $29 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Start times: Between 6:30 p.m. and midnight
Hours: 40 hours per week
Employment type: Temp to perm
Work arrangement: On-site

Job Details

Route type: Local delivery with home-daily routes
Freight: Office supplies, paper, and furniture
Delivery schedule: After-hours deliveries with key-code access
Equipment: Automatic-transmission Class A tractor-trailer
Handling: Heavy-touch deliveries using a pallet jack and liftgate; ability to lift up to 70 pounds

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate equipment on local routes.
Transport freight in accordance with DOT and safety standards.
Complete required loading, unloading, and freight-handling tasks.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Maintain accurate logs and paperwork.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams.
Meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 70 pounds.

Minimum Requirements

Valid Class A commercial driver's license.
2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
Ability to safely handle freight and perform required physical duties.
