Role:
Liberty Personnel has partnered with a higher education organization in the Greater Philadelphia area to help with their Financial Services Coordinator temporary-to-hire opportunity. This position supports student financial operations through accounts receivable, billing, payment processing, account reconciliation, and student account administration. The ideal candidate has experience in higher education finance or academia and enjoys working in a collaborative, service-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable activities, including daily deposits and payment processing.
- Coordinate third-party billing and monitor outstanding account balances.
- Reconcile student account transactions with financial records and the general ledger.
- Monitor payment plans, account holds, and past-due balances.
- Review student accounts to verify charges, payments, and account accuracy.
- Coordinate cashiering activities, including payment posting, account adjustments, and responding to student inquiries.
- Process annual student tax reporting and maintain required system parameters.
- Perform account reconciliations and assist with year-end audit preparation.
- Maintain accurate student financial records while partnering with Financial Aid and other campus departments.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associates degree is required
- Experience in student accounts, accounts receivable, bursar operations, or higher education finance preferred.
- Experience with higher education ERP systems; Banner experience is highly preferred.
Working Situation:
This will be an in office position with some flexibility.
