Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) position in Ohio, requiring 2+ years of experience, ACLS, and comfort with CPAP/BiPAP and medication titrations.

Details

• 31-bed mixed acuity PCU unit in a hospital setting
• Primarily supports medicine services with a mix of stepdown and med/surg patients
• Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Float required within the health system as needed
• Epic EMR used for documentation
• Omnicell medication dispensing system in use

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU or stepdown nursing experience
• Proficiency with CPAP/BiPAP management required
• Experience with medication titrations required
• Charge nurse capability on nights required
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as a second reference — co-worker references are not accepted

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• Former employees of the facility are eligible after a minimum 6-month separation
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after accepting an offer — candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or complete a mailed packet as soon as possible
• Multiple parking permit options are available for agency staff near the medical center, ranging from a budget shuttle-based option to guaranteed on-site garage access
