Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesPerform welding operations on forging dies, tooling, and components using the specified welding process and procedures.Perform benching, grinding, blending, dressing, and finishing of welded areas and tooling surfaces.Prepare surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, removing contaminants, and preparing joints as required.Inspect completed work visually and identify defects, irregularities, or conditions that may affect quality.Use grinders and other power tools to remove excess weld material and achieve the required shape, finish, and fit.Set up and safely operate welding machines, grinders, hand tools, and other assigned shop equipment.Follow approved welding procedures, work instructions, drawings, and supervisor direction.Use proper lifting, positioning, and material-handling practices when handling tooling and components.Operate a forklift or other authorized material-handling equipment when trained, qualified, and assigned.Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly store tools, equipment, consumables, and materials.Inspect welding equipment, grinders, cords, hoses, guards, and other equipment before use and report unsafe or damaged equipment.Wear required PPE and follow company safety rules, hot-work requirements, and applicable health and environmental procedures.Communicate job status, quality concerns, equipment problems, material issues, and safety concerns to the supervisor.Assist coworkers and other shop personnel as needed to safely complete assigned work.Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or management.Follow daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
