We are looking for an Environmental Engineer to join our growing engineering team and play a key role in driving the international expansion of our product portfolio. Based in Boise, ID; Santa Clara, CA; or Plano, TX; this full-time role supports the Americas and sits at the intersection of regulatory compliance, supplier collaboration, and environmental stewardship across a broad range of networking products including mobile routers, IoT devices, and Private Cellular networks.What you will do:Ensure electronic products and accessories meet RoHS (2+3), REACH, WEEE, PFAS, and Conflict Minerals requirementsOwn Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) reporting and fee payment processesAnalyze technical and legal documents and communicate clear, actionable compliance requirements to business stakeholdersCollaborate with cross-functional subject matter experts to improve environmental performance and compliance processesPartner with Purchasing and suppliers to manage timelines for removing restricted substances from productsSupport the definition and execution of corrective actionsCommunicate with and influence external stakeholders and business leaders; escalate compliance issues as appropriateCoach and share knowledge with less experienced compliance team membersThe skills you bring:Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field5+ years of experience managing restricted substances regulations for electronic or Information Technology Equipment (ITE) devicesAbility to analyze Bills of Materials and manage compliance data collection from suppliers for REACH, RoHS, and other global materials regulationsStrong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to navigate complex, high-volume informationExperience with RoHS in markets beyond the EU and US (e.g., China, Middle East, South Asia/Australia) is a plusFamiliarity with Proposition 65, Conflict Minerals reporting, or WEEE regulations is a plusWhy join Ericsson?At Ericsson, youll have an outstanding opportunity. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.
