Program Coordinator Employer: Kern Community College District Salary: $58,750.20 - $83,012.40 Annually42.5 Job Type: Classified Job Number: FY25-2600395 Location: Bakersfield College -- Panorama Campus, CA Department: Outreach Special Projects Basic Function Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, coordinate themaintenance and implementation of an assigned program; assiststudents within an assigned program to achieve educational,vocational and personal growth goals. Representative Duties Coordinate the administration of an assigned program; initiate andcoordinate activities designed to achieve departmental/programgoals. Develop and coordinate orientations, seminars and workshopsdesigned to familiarize students with educational and careeropportunities. Assist in coordinating a public information and relations programto familiarize students with the services and programs at thecollege; develop and coordinate community outreachactivities. Monitor student progress and perform follow-up surveys on programs,courses and student success. Advise and assist students with enrollment procedures; promotestudent retention through support, encouragement and guidance;participate in coordinating program with outside participatingagencies. Advise and assist students in need with obtaining student servicesfrom campus and/or community resources through referral to theseoffices or agencies; support internship programs as assigned. Participate in the educational advising training program. Perform related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Any combination equivalent to: Associate degree and two years ofincreasingly responsible program planning experience, includingexperience working with students in an academic environment. Uses and applications of computer equipment. CorrectEnglish usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation. Communicate information to individuals and smallgroups. Understand and followoral and written instructions. Communicate effectively both orallyand in writing. Establish and maintain cooperative and effectiveworking relationships with others.
