In this role, you will lead U.S. Customs activity, manage self-filed entries, and ensure strict adherence to CBP regulations, including Partner Government Agency (PGA) and C-TPAT requirements.As a functional leader, you will guide our North American compliance team, driving adherence to country-specific import and export regulations. The ideal candidate is a collaborative partner capable of building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, government agencies, and suppliers to deliver high-quality compliance and continuous improvement.What you will do in this role:Lead, mentor, and inspire the Trade Compliance team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment.Partner proactively with Logistics, Warehouse Operations, and daily operational functions to ensure seamless, compliant workflows.Ensure full compliance with all applicable U.S. and Canadian import/export and trade compliance regulations.Act as the primary liaison, cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with U.S. and Canadian Customs, U.S. Fish & Wildlife, FDA, EPA, CPSC, and other government agencies as required.Strategic procurement and management of third-party Trade Compliance partners, including Customs brokers, FTZ Administrators, and ABI software vendors.Develop and execute a comprehensive Trade Compliance Roadmap aligned with company-wide strategic initiatives.Identify, prioritize, and implement innovative process improvements to mitigate risk and optimize efficiency.Develop and execute a comprehensive Trade Compliance Roadmap to drive strategic initiatives.Guarantee that daily compliance operations consistently meet or exceed established quality and service-level Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Who You Are:Required QualificationsA Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.Proven track record managing Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ), C-TPAT certification, and hands-on experience with US Customs self-filed entries.Mastery of HTS classification and export control procedures, with specific expertise navigating multi-agency requirements.Expertise in navigating complex international trade laws and logistics.A data-driven problem solver capable of managing third-party service providers (Brokers, ABI vendors) and ensuring daily operations meet strict KPIs.An authentic, collaborative leader with experience providing functional leadership to a team.Preferred QualificationsLicensed Customs Broker (LCB), including candidates who have passed the exam and are actively awaiting license issuance.Practical experience navigating Canadian trade compliance and cross-border regulatory requirements.What We OfferComprehensive Benefits: Includes health and well-being servicesRetirement Planning: 401(k) match and educational resourcesPaid Parental Leave & Return to Work Program: Support for new parents and caregiversGenerous Paid Time Off: Floating Holidays, Sick Time, Personal Days, Summer Flex FridaysHybrid Work: 1 remote day per week and flexible Work-From-Anywhere optionsTuition Reimbursement: Support for approved educational programsEmployee Discounts: Enjoy savings on Fossil merchandiseJobFamilySupply ChainJobFunctionManagerPayTypeSalary
