Radiation Therapist in Weaverville, NC

This contract opportunity allows you to work alongside nine experienced radiation therapists, engaging with state-of-the-art equipment while providing excellent patient care.


Schedule/Hours:

• Day shift only; 8.5-hour shifts scheduled between 7:00am and 5:30pm
• Night shifts are not typical but may occasionally extend past 6:00pm based on caseload
• 36 hours guaranteed weekly, with scheduling for up to 40 hours

Key Qualifications:

• Current certification and registration as a Radiation Therapist
• Proficiency in operating Elekta Versa HD linear accelerators, GE Lightspeed CT simulator, and Accuray M6 CyberKnife preferred
• Experience using Mosaiq EMR system
• Strong communication and compassionate patient care skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality radiation therapy treatments according to physician's directives
• Operate and maintain a variety of cutting-edge machines (two linear accelerators, one CT simulator, and one CyberKnife)
• Collaborate closely with fellow radiation therapists to ensure optimal patient care and safety
• Document procedures and update records accurately in Mosaiq EMR
• Adapt to scheduling needs and varying volumes while maintaining professionalism

Team and Technology:

• Patient ratios of 2.5 therapists per linear accelerator, 2 per CyberKnife, and 2 per simulator
• Work with a supportive group of nine therapists in a community-focused setting
