Senior Electrical EngineerThe Client ADG (Aerospace, Defense, Government Business Unit) Customer Centric Solutions Team is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to work on custom engineering opportunities that enable the sale of standard NI Products. The primary responsibilities of this position are to work with NI customers, sales personnel, engineering teams, alliance partners, and contract manufacturers to define, document, design, deploy, and sustain NI products tailored to meet specific customer requirements for large scale turnkey engineering solutions. The ideal candidate has experience and knowledge regarding NI products and system level design.Core Job Responsibilities:This is a multi functional role dealing with diverse engineering needs, including the ability to gather requirements, generate specification documents, and interface with alliance partners, contract manufacturers, and internal personnel to design, deploy, and sustain custom solutions worldwide. This is a high visibility role within NI requiring daily interaction with NI customers, NI Alliance Partners, NI Sales Teams, NI Engineering Teams, and Executive Management. The role will include:Interacting with a wide variety of NI customers, NI staff, external alliance partners and suppliers in support of designing, implementing, and sustaining of custom solutionsGenerating requirements documents, statements of work, and Bills of MaterialsDefining and implementing project plans, managing milestones, and holding reviews to assure systems meet requirements and readiness for deploymentSpecifying, designing, prototyping, testing, and deploying turnkey automated solutionsDirecting support personnel, managing project technical deliverables, guiding technical decisions, and driving field found issues to resolutionTraveling as needed (possibly up to 25%) domestically and abroad in support of project objectivesExperience and Skill Requirements:Minimum Requirements:B. S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electronics Engineering TechnologyMinimum of 7 years relevant industry experience in a Hardware Systems Design Role or a Test Engineering Design RoleStrong understanding of electrical engineering, electronics, and computer architecturesUnderstanding of high-level programming languages (LabVIEW, TestStand, C/C++/C#)Demonstrated understanding of the following concepts and principles:Sources of measurement errorAppropriate selection of instrumentation and equipmentUnderstanding of schematics and wiring diagramsIntegration of hardware and softwareBill of Materials creation and reviewFamiliarity with CAD and PCB design toolsStatistical analysis of data (Cp, Cpk, GR&R)Preferred Skills:Hands on use of schematic capture tools and PCB design toolsKnowledge in Component Supplier SelectionKnowledge in Compliance Certifications (CE, UL, TUV, Etc.)Hands on use of NI Hardware Platforms and InstrumentsHands on use of NI LabVIEW and Test StandDemonstrated ability to:Work effectively in a diverse, multi-cultural group development environmentProblem-solve effectively - diagnose technical issues and propose reasonable solutionsLead teams in test and measurement system designTake initiative, be a self-starter, and work independentlyPersistently drive tasks and lead projects to successful completionQuickly learn applicable technology, systems, and productsStrong work ethic and drive to succeedAbout US Tech Solutions: US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
