Job Description
Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse to join our team. This position is ideal for nurses who thrive in a dynamic environment and are ready to adapt to various critical care settings.

Shift Details

  • Shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
  • Requirements: Weekend day shifts with flexibility based on unit needs
Responsibilities
  • Float across various ICUs based on staffing requirements and patient acuity, including:


    • Neuro ICU
    • Surgical ICUs
    • Medical ICUs (MICU x2)
    • Cardiology/Diagnostics
    • CVICU
    • SICU / MICU / NCCU
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes
  • Perform nursing duties in accordance with established regulations and protocols

Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience is required
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system is essential
  • Experience with IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management is necessary
Preferred Skills
  • Accessing/Managing Ports
  • Arterial line management
  • Assisting with chest tube insertion/removal
  • BiPAP/CPAP management
  • Blood product administration
  • Care of ventilated patients
  • Central line care and management
  • Monitoring and managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
Parking Options

  • CXS Annual Permit: Multiple parking locations available
