Medical Assistant Phlebotomist

Overview The Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Program prepares students to attain training and qualifications to become a Medical Assistant Phlebotomist (CPT1). Students will learn the basic concepts of human anatomy and physiology, knowledge of practice settings, standards and ethics, order of draw, venipuncture, measurement of vital signs, administer injections, urinalysis, bandaging, EKG, set up and assist with minor surgeries, record keeping, and customer service. Upon completion of this nationally accredited program, students will be qualified to take National and State Board of Medical Assistant Certification and obtain a State Phlebotomy License. Certifications and Licensure National Certified Medical Assistant (NCCT) National Certified Phlebotomy Technician (NCCT) California Phlebotomy License CPT1 – State Board of California California Certified Medical Assistant – State Board of California Classes Include Clinical Laboratory Medical Lecture Medical Terminology Keyboarding Electronic Health Records Externship Day Classes Available Program is available for day classes. Program Cost Program cost: $5,999. Includes books. Additional books and supplies may be necessary. Costs may vary.
