Job Summary:
This position is for an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse in Salinas, California. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in a critical care environment. The nurse works under the supervision of the director and collaborates with physicians, patient families, and healthcare team members to deliver individualized, developmentally appropriate care. The position requires flexibility to work night shifts and may involve additional unit responsibilities as assigned.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Associates of Science in Nursing (ASN) required; Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of California; Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards; minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; Clinical Nurse Specialist/Nurse Practitioner certification
• Skills: Patient assessment, care planning, discharge planning, patient teaching, implementation of care plans, EPIC experience, spiritual care, evaluation of patient response, physiological care, psychosocial care, conflict resolution, teamwork
• Additional Information: The role involves performing nursing assessments, developing and coordinating care plans, and providing patient and family education within a critical care setting. The nurse may act as a preceptor and charge nurse and will participate actively in departmental goals and performance improvement activities. Flexibility to adapt to unit and hospital activity changes is essential.
