Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg, Telemetry, and PCU position requiring 3+ years of combined experience and comfort across all three specialties. Details Combined Med/Surg, Telemetry, and PCU unit in a small, rural 25-bed hospital Patient population ranges from newborn to geriatric RN/patient ratio of 5:1 depending on acuity, with higher acuity PCU patients at 3:1 or 4:1 Every other weekend required, plus holidays as needed No on-call requirements Requirements Active NH or Compact RN license required Current AHA BLS and ACLS certification required Minimum 3+ years of combined PCU, Med/Surg, and Telemetry experience required Basic dysrhythmia test required in profile Must be comfortable working across Med/Surg, Telemetry, and PCU specialties Must be able to work independently and adapt quickly to a new environment Skills checklists required for Med/Surg, Telemetry, and PCU, current within 1 year One supervisory signed reference required, from within the past two years of employment Additional Information Provide direct patient care across Med/Surg, Telemetry, and PCU patient populations, including cardiac monitoring Rural or small facility experience is highly preferred Previous travel experience is highly preferred Personal scrubs of any color are permitted Must work two required holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day through the weekend after, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the following weekend, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the following weekend Requested time off must be submitted at the time of application and cannot exceed 5 days for the 13‑week assignment; requests after submission will not be approved Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
