Job Description

We are seeking experienced Pipefitters/Welders to join our team for new construction and renovation projects in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area. The role involves working in mechanical rooms, specifically installing new HVAC air handlers. Candidates must possess significant experience in commercial pipefitting and welding.

Responsibilities

• Plan installation or repair of piping systems, including cutting, threading, and bending.
• Lay-out, assemble, install, maintain, and repair various types of pipe systems.
• Mount hangers and brackets as required.
• Install valves, couplings, and other fittings.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction experience.
• Soldering and brazing carbon steel pipe and copper.
• Experience with Schedule 40 steel pipe, ranging from 2.5 inches to 8 inches.
• Ability to read prints.
• 6G certified or ability to pass a 6G weld test.

Work Environment

Work will take place at two jobsites: Tampa General Hospital and John Hopkins Children's Hospital in downtown St. Petersburg. The role involves both indoor and outdoor work, alongside other trade partners. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times. Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 7 AM to 5:30 PM

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Port Richey, FL.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in New Port Richey,FL.
