Job Description


The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting in the intake process within the Seminole Tribe of Florida Tribal Court's Healing to Wellness (HTW) Court Program. This position serves as the primary point of contact for all new requests for HTW services; newly referred youth, their family members, and adult participants entering the Court's jurisdiction. The Intake Specialist supports the smooth transition of participants into court supervised programs while maintaining compliance with Tribal Court policies, procedures, and applicable ordinances. The individual collects and reviews required documentation, conducts preliminary legal and clinical assessments, and prepares cases for assignments to the HTW Team. During the initial implementation of the HTW Court, the incumbent may also be required to provide case management services for certain participants until adequate staffing is established. The individual exercises independent judgement in assessing participant needs, coordinating referrals, and developing solutions to complex issues that arise during the intake process. Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related behavioral health field is required. Prior experience in human services, case management, community support work, or tribal justice settings is required. Familiarity with trauma-informed care and culturally responsive practices is preferred. Knowledge of Tribal Court processes, restorative justice practices, or HTW/Treatment Court models is preferred. Must have the ability to administer or support screening and assessment tools is preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with youth, adults and families. Familiarity with tribal communities or a demonstrated commitment to providing culturally responsive care. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including treatment providers, educators, law enforcement, and court staff is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License is required. Must demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Must have the ability to travel and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays, including participating in on-call rotations to provide services as required.
