Position Overview: This role provides technical and nursing support for patients undergoing diagnostic imaging procedures within the radiology service. This role works closely with radiologists, veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and other hospital departments to ensure safe patient handling, high-quality image acquisition, accurate documentation, and efficient workflow throughout the imaging process. This individual will thrive in a specialty environment that requires technical skill, adaptability, and strong collaboration across departments. As you drive onto our beautiful working farm campus, you are greeted by some of the animals that make our hospital such a unique place to work including longhorns, emus, goats, pigs, and geese are all part of the experience. It is not your average trip into work, and that is just the beginning. Forgot your coffee or breakfast on the way in? No problem. Our team enjoys access to a fully stocked breakfast bar along with free snacks available on site for staff, helping you start the day fueled and ready. Once your shift begins, you will step into a fast-paced, team-centered hospital environment where your role truly matters. A typical day may include preparing patients for imaging procedures, assisting with sedation or anesthesia support, positioning patients carefully for diagnostic quality images, operating imaging equipment, supporting radiologists and medical teams, and helping maintain an efficient imaging schedule. Throughout the day, you will play a key role in ensuring images are obtained safely, accurately, and with the attention to detail needed to support excellent case outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare patients for radiology and advanced imaging procedures while ensuring safety, comfort, and procedural readiness
• Assist with patient handling, restraint, positioning, sedation, anesthesia support, and monitoring as directed for imaging procedures
• Operate radiology and imaging equipment appropriately while helping ensure high-quality image acquisition and efficient workflow
• Maintain accurate medical records, imaging documentation, and communication with radiologists, doctors, and support teams
• Support a clean, organized, and compliant imaging environment while collaborating across departments to ensure continuity of care Qualifications:
• Veterinary technician experience required; radiology or specialty experience strongly preferred
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician preferred, though strong experienced candidates may be considered
• Strong technical skills including venipuncture, catheter placement, medication administration, patient restraint, and nursing care
• Familiarity with diagnostic imaging workflow and comfort working with radiology equipment preferred
• Excellent communication, organization, multitasking, and client service skills
