Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the Medical OT unit
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient responses
Document patient care thoroughly and accurately using Cerner electronic health records
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure positive patient outcomes
Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and staff

Qualifications

Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
Prior experience with CDCR or Cerner is required
Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
Commitment to providing excellent patient care throughout the 26-week assignment

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record system
Familiarity with CDCR documentation and workflows
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work collaboratively
Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety standards
