As Northern Trust evolves to the next level of dashboards and creates a more cohesive and flexible user experience, we are looking for a data modeler to more quickly move us to our destination. The Data Architect will help create a foundational data model to underpin interactive PowerBI reports and dashboards that provide insights and help drive key business decisions for internal clients at Northern Trust.· Contractor’s Role: [Summary of the contractor’s role and how they will contribute to the project] Data Architect. Work independently under the Product Manager to expand the common data model that is designed to ensure that metrics and other data are consistent across all dashboards.Ensure performance, security, and scalability.· Experience Level:o Level 3- [senior- 8 years overall experience]· Qualifications (Must Have’s):[skills, knowledge, and expertise required] A Northern Trust Data Architect will have extensive and exceptional data modelling and SQL skills with strong PowerBI development skills. He or she will have previously created data models to support application development frameworks and can derive data driven application capabilities from code driven application code. Some PowerBI experience with DAX Measure, Bookmarks and Field parameters to create flexible user-defined PowerBI experiences is also needed.SQL skills will also be extensive. The modeler will need to be able to support others and quickly adapt the model to write the SQL to populate the framework as well as determine the best way to apply the framework to various dashboards.
