We are seeking a full-time Accountant who will protect the financial integrity of the church while supporting ministry growth with excellence, accountability, and transparency. Position Summary The Accountant provides financial oversight, reporting, and operational accounting support for Higher Dimension Church. This role is responsible for maintaining financial integrity, supporting ministry leaders through sound financial guidance, and ensuring strong internal controls and accurate reporting practices. This position works closely with leadership, external financial partners, and ministry departments to support strategic decision-making and long-term ministry sustainability. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Oversight Lead the monthly close process Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and budget-to-actual reports Provide variance analysis and cash flow forecasting Monitor restricted and unrestricted funds Support financial transparency for Senior Leadership and the Finance Committee Budgeting & Forecasting Lead the annual budgeting process Support ministry leaders in aligning spending with approved budgets Conduct financial projections and scenario planning Maintain rolling cash flow forecasts Internal Controls & Governance Establish and maintain strong internal control procedures Ensure compliance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards Maintain audit-ready financial documentation Review vendor approval workflows and financial documentation standards Support segregation of duties and financial accountability processes Audit Coordination Serve as primary liaison for independent auditors Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation Address audit recommendations and implement process improvements Ministry Financial Support Provide financial guidance and stewardship support to ministry leaders Assist with operational and strategic financial planning Support adherence to church financial policies and procedures Collaborate across departments to strengthen financial operations What We're Looking For This role is ideal for someone who is: Passionate about stewardship and operational excellence Experienced in nonprofit or church accounting Highly organized and detail-oriented Skilled in financial analysis, reporting, and reconciliation Comfortable working within structured financial systems Calm, trustworthy, and emotionally mature A collaborative team player who works well with leadership and external partners Able to balance detailed financial oversight with strategic thinking Stewardship of Mission Actively support and advance the vision and mission of Higher Dimension Church Commit to excellence, integrity, and accountability in financial stewardship Foster a culture of transparency, wisdom, and trust Utilize resources wisely to maximize ministry impact Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (Required) Nonprofit or church accounting experience (Required) Strong knowledge of GAAP Experience preparing financial statements and supporting audits Proficiency in QuickBooks, Intacct, or similar accounting software Ability to work in-person during listed office hours Schedule Tuesday–Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Sunday: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM #J-18808-Ljbffr
