Automotive Technician

The Senior Technician performs vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards, building customer loyalty by ensuring confidence in vehicle safety and reliability. Day-to-day Responsibilities Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance work outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Communicate with the Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to manage production and customer communication. Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repair if authorized by the Customer. Conduct multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations for safety and reliability. Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order. Maintain an inventory of normal Technician's tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as “special tools.” Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate. Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty. How Success Is Measured Targeted production. Targeted Customer Satisfaction Index. Requirements High School diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician. Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs). Attention to detail.
