Location: Sunnyvale, TX 75182
Pay Rate:  $18.00–$21.00 per hour (DOE) (Resume Required)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (1-Hour Lunch Break)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced  Building Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and reliability of production equipment and facility systems in Sunnyvale, TX. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring the facility operates safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment and a strong mechanical aptitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment to minimize downtime.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, conveyors, saws, presses, and other production machinery.
• Repair and maintain building systems, including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, doors, and general facility infrastructure.
• Inspect equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Maintain maintenance logs, repair records, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Assist with the installation, relocation, and setup of production equipment and machinery.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to support continuous production.
• Follow OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and all company safety policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing equipment.
• Working knowledge of  MiTek truss manufacturing equipment is highly preferred.
• Experience maintaining and repairing:
• MiTek Wizard Tables
• Automated roller conveyor systems
• Component saws and precision cutting equipment
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Chain drives, bearings, motors, gearboxes, and conveyors
• Production machinery used in wood truss manufacturing
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Experience performing routine inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and equipment calibration.
• Ability to minimize equipment downtime through preventive maintenance planning.
• Comfortable reading equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, and troubleshooting documentation.
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and OSHA compliance.
• Ability to work independently while supporting production needs.

• Physical work involving standing, walking, lifting, bending, and working around production equipment.
• Fast-paced production environment.
