Registered Nurse – PICU / Pediatric Float Pool

Charlottesville, VA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (3x12 Hours, 7:00–19:00) | 36 or 48 hours per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Float across multiple pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Deliver age-appropriate, evidence-based nursing care to pediatric and neonatal patient populations
• Adapt clinical practice to meet the needs of varied pediatric units as assigned per float pool policy
• Participate in every-other-weekend rotation and 2 out of 3 winter holiday shifts as required
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• NICU experience required; must be comfortable across pediatric care settings
• Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand prior to start)
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience highly desirable
• Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
• BSN preferred
