Sr. Security Engineer

Cybersecurity Engineering Role

Join Yum! Brands' Cybersecurity Engineering team and help protect one of the world's largest global digital platforms supporting KFC, Taco Bell, Habit Burger & Grill, and Yum! corporate brands. This role is ideal for a security professional passionate about web application security, cloud technologies, and enterprise-scale engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize Web Application Firewall (WAF) protections using Akamai (or similar platforms).\n• Secure enterprise web applications and APIs against modern cyber threats, including OWASP Top 10, DDoS, bots, and API attacks.\n• Manage CDN configurations and public TLS certificate lifecycle.\n• Investigate security incidents, tune security policies, and improve platform performance.\n• Drive automation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.\n• Partner with engineering, cloud, networking, and business teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise WAF technologies (Akamai preferred; Cloudflare, Imperva, F5, AWS WAF also considered).\n• Strong knowledge of TLS/SSL, DNS, TCP/IP, CDN architecture, REST APIs, and web application security.\n• Experience managing certificates, troubleshooting production environments, and responding to security incidents.\n• Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash) is a plus.\n• Security certifications such as CISSP, Security+, GSEC, or Akamai certifications are a bonus.

Salary Range: 117,800 - 147,600
