Location: Milwaukee, WI 53202
Pay: $1,700 to $1,800 per week
Home Time: Every 7–14 days with a 34–48 hour reset
Freight: Flatbed

Flatbed earning potential and structured route planning give experienced CDL-A drivers a dependable setup for productive miles and scheduled home time.

Rouse Trucking is hiring flatbed drivers to haul coils, pipe, building materials, and similar freight. Routes primarily run east of I-35, with pay provided for both loaded and empty miles.

The Work:

This position includes the regular hands-on responsibilities of flatbed hauling.

• Tarping required on approximately 3 out of 5 loads

• Load securement is part of the regular work

• Additional $30 on every load, whether tarping is required or not

Earnings:

• 70 CPM with loaded and empty miles paid

• Weekly earnings of $1,700 to $1,800

• Additional $30 paid on every load

• $5,000 sign-on bonus for solo drivers

Schedule:

Drivers return home every 7–14 days for a 34–48 hour reset. Established routes and regional freight coverage help maintain consistent scheduling while keeping drivers productive on the road.

Assigned Equipment:

• Assigned 2020 through 2025 Peterbilt 567 and 579 tractors

• Automatic and manual transmission options available

• 2024 48-foot spread-axle flatbed trailers

• Trucks governed at 70 MPH

Assigned trucks may be taken home when drivers have a safe place to park them. Regular maintenance helps support dependable operation and reduce downtime.

Getting Started:

Transition pay is provided during the first few weeks while drivers get familiar with routes, scheduling, and dispatch operations.

Rider & Pet Options:

Drivers may bring one pet. There are no breed or weight restrictions, and cats are allowed.

One passenger may ride with the required liability form and must be at least 10 years old.

CDL-A Qualifications:

• Valid CDL-A license

• At least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience within the last 5 years

• Minimum of 6 months of flatbed experience

• Tarping and load securement experience
