Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician 5 - 2nd Shift

Job Details: As a FSQA Tech you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems. Document and calculate results accurately. Take corrective action when necessary: alert personnel, isolate non-conforming products, report results to management. Handle additional assignments as requested. Working Conditions Environment: Normal for a food manufacturing setting. Physical requirements: lift up to 75 pounds. Safety equipment: steel-toed boots, hardhats, safety glasses (when required), hairnets, beard nets, smocks. Restrictions: no cell phones or jewelry on factory floor. Requirements Education: High school diploma or GED. Experience: Minimum 1 year in food manufacturing industry or related QA experience. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Special Skills: Complete Tyson paperwork. Lead by example and motivate hourly workforce. Problem identification and problem‑solving skills. Math and organizational skills. Read and interpret product specifications. Function well under stress. Flexibility to work where and when needed. Physical Requirements: Lift up to 75 lbs. Stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day. Work in temperatures 30‑90°F. Work in wet environment. Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing and pulling. Reach high and low levels frequently. Climb step ladders or stairs. Work overtime and weekends as needed.
