HealthTrust Workforce Solutions HCA is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Dulles, Virginia. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN A HOPSITAL SETTING REQUIRED MUST HAVE ACTIVE COMPACT LICENSE AT SUBMISSION BLS REQUIRED Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds – 5 – able to expand to 6 Number of Staff – 2 RNs when unit is open Type of staff: Day Shift – 1 charge, 1 RN (Second RN when unit is open) Night Shift – 1 charge, 1 RN (Second RN when unit is open) Patient Ratios – Depends on acuity and Volume Type of equipment – Giraffes, Pandas, Syringe Pumps, Hospira Pumps EMR – Meditech Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Minimum of 2 years NICU experience at Level 2 or greater NRP skills to attend vaginal and c/s deliveries Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first. STABLE Certification Nursing Certification within specialty List typical procedures performed on unit(s): IV Antibiotics, Dextrose infusions, TPN/Lipids, PO/NG feeds, Umbilical Line maintenance, Oxygen Support, Nasal CPAP, Surfactant administration assist, delivery attendance.
