Location PO Box 727, Visalia, CA, 93279, United States Base Pay $5,967.00 - $6,300.00 / Month Employee Type Temp FT Non-Exempt Required Degree 4 Year Degree Travel 20% Manage Others Yes DEADLINE: July 06, 2026 Position Summary To ensure efficient operation of the division and assist the Energy Programs Division Director with program planning, implementation, and administration of weatherization programs, energy-related programs, and other private ventures. Essential Responsibilities Supervises energy teams, fostering collaboration and effective communication among team members achieving quality and satisfactory project objectives while attaining optimal return investment. Develop, analyze, and manage program budgets, milestone timelines, and reporting deliverables. Manage program and project budgets, ensuring financial resources are used efficiently and projects are completed within the allocated budget. Identify potential risks to the success of projects and develop comprehensive mitigation plans to address these risks proactively. Develop and implement program and division protocols aimed at improving the efficiency of operations. Prepares and presents information from a variety of sources to the Energy Programs Division Director for the development of divisional policy related to energy programs and other private work. Maintains awareness of corporate policy, contract, industry, and regulatory requirements related to energy and other private ventures to ensure divisional compliance. Provides orientation and training to Energy Programs staff. Participates in strategic program planning, contract negotiation, budget revision, and modification with divisional, administrative, or stakeholders as necessary. Acts as public relations liaison with governmental agencies, utilities, funding sources, and community groups; may serve as corporate representative on committees or boards as directed by the Energy Programs Division Director. Reviews and submits staff records, and considers requests and reports in absence or by direction of the Energy Programs Division Director. Supervisory Responsibilities Manages up to four subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 10 to 30 employees in the special programs’ units of subsections. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of at least one of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or six years of directly related experience. Knowledge of community groups' experience with the economically disadvantaged and knowledge of energy programs. Computer Skills Moderate computer skills required for data entry, Word, Excel, and other software programs, as required for the position. Language Skills Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, employees, or organizations. Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Access to transportation, a California driver’s license, and the minimum vehicle insurance needed by law. Travel Requirement Will require weekly travel to local Proteus offices or events at 20% of the weekly schedule and other assigned divisional areas. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected. Physical Demands Employees are regularly required to stand and use their hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to walk: reach with hands and arms; sit, kneel, stoop, climb, or balance. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Travel to other locations and outside training. Ability to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and ability to maneuver a dolly.
