Senior Technician

Senior Technician II-EngineeringMicrochip has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technician II-Engineering at our facility in Beverly, Massachusetts. This role offers the opportunity to operate in a highly technical and scientific environment, employing a variety of manufacturing and testing techniques. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities:Troubleshoot product test failures to the component level and determine root causes.Generate NCRs for production test issues.Support Product Engineers in resolving production-related issues.Assist operators with testing and troubleshooting production hardware.Perform failure analysis using strong troubleshooting techniques.Operate RF/Microwave test equipment and fixtures.Requirements/Qualifications:Essential Qualifications:Associate's degree in related field or equivalent experience.Minimum of 10 years' experience and a proven track record of excellence in electronics assembly and testing.Ability to read and understand schematics and drawings.Experienced in soldering and cable assembly.Demonstrated ability to multi-task and remain highly organized.Comfortable working with cross functional teams.Ability to learn quickly and adapt to fast paced environment.Strong commitment to teamwork and process.Demonstrated proficiency in space qualified construction and testing techniques.Demonstrated proficiency in documentation generation, organization, and storage.Desired Qualifications:BS/BA in Engineering / Engineering Technology.J-STD Certification (terminals and wires, through hole technology and surface mount technology)Experience in High Precision timing, test, and measurement.Experience with Ultra High Vacuum systemsDemonstrated proficiency in space qualified construction and testing techniques.Demonstrated RF design capabilities.FPGA programming experience.U.S. Export Controls Requirements: This job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States.
