The Role Broccoli is hiring its first VP / Head of Marketing to build the marketing function from the ground up. You'll own the full marketing picture, including product marketing, demand gen, digital marketing, and content/storytelling, shaping how we position Broccoli to contractors and the broader home services industry, and building the team behind that work. You'll join an established team of six and bring them together into one seamless, high-performing marketing org, then build the playbook that guides how they work. Reporting directly to the COO, you'll be the most senior marketing voice in the company. What you’ll own Own brand positioning and messaging as Broccoli scales across the home services industry Lead product marketing: GTM strategy, launch planning, messaging frameworks, and sales enablement Drive demand gen and digital marketing to support pipeline and growth Develop Broccoli's voice and storytelling — across product, company, and founder-level content Partner closely with Sales, Product, and Operations to ensure marketing ties directly to business outcomes Set the strategy and roadmap for how marketing scales as the company grows Who we’re looking for 10+ years in marketing, including experience building or leading a marketing function Strong across multiple areas — product marketing, demand gen, digital marketing, content/storytelling — not narrowly specialized in one Deep product marketing experience: positioning, messaging, GTM launches Strong storyteller and communicator — able to shape how Broccoli shows up externally A track record of staying and building — not job-hopping between short stints More interested in the work than the brand name on your resume — we care about what you've built, not just where you've built it Comfortable being measured on business outcomes, not just brand metrics Self-directed drive — genuine ownership and urgency, especially since there's no one above you setting the marketing agenda day to day Nice to have Experience marketing to home services businesses (HVAC, cleaning, home improvement, or similar local/franchise industries) Experience marketing to both B2B and B2C audiences Startup or early-stage scaling experience Why Broccoli You'll be the most senior marketing hire at a company already generating millions in ARR, backed by Khosla Ventures and Y Combinator, and trusted by contractors ranging from single-location shops to the largest PE-backed roll-ups in the industry.
