Milieu Specialist - Night Shift Per Diem

Metropolitan Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a Milieu Specialist for a per diem night shift position. This growing, 144-bed behavioral health facility provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults, and older adults. The facility also offers programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues to meet the unique needs of this patient population. Additionally, a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family, and individual therapy is available.

The Milieu Specialist provides therapeutic milieu management, training of MHTs, and monitoring of the hospital units. Milieu management includes program content and philosophy, patient management training, environmental management, and staff competency.

Qualifications include an associate's or bachelor's degree in psychology or similar social sciences from an accredited college or university, five years of professional experience in a mental health hospital setting, experience as a Lead MHT, current certification as a Non-Violent Crisis Intervention instructor, excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, and current certification in BLS/CPR.

Work hours for this per diem position are 7p-7:30a, with availability to work rotating weekends and holidays.
