Systems Engineer

Role Overview: The Systems Engineer is responsible for the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Maintain system lifecycle, perform data backups and disaster recovery, monitor system health, analyze logs, recommend improvements, respond to outages, install and configure hardware/software, document system configurations, troubleshoot issues, and apply updates. Qualifications & Skills: Minimum 7+ years’ experience as a Server System Administrator (Windows, Unix, Linux), 5+ years in networking (firewalls, switches, routers), familiarity with DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, MS IIS, and database management (SQL, Oracle, MySQL). Knowledge of VMware, Nutanix, NetApp storage, and virtualization platforms is preferred. Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. Must be willing to travel 10-25%. Physical & Work Environment: Able to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors, and support after-hours tasks. Primarily indoors in a production setting.
