Service Line Sales Specialist Software & Platform Engineering

As a Service Line Sales Specialist Software & Platform Engineering, you will make an impact by identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities across Software & Platform Engineering, spanning Digital Experience, Digital Engineering, Enterprise Application Modernization, and Application Development & Maintenance and Quality Assurance services. You will be a valued member of the Software Engineering Group(SEG) sales team and work collaboratively with Client Partners, client leadership teams, and internal Cognizant practice and service-line teams.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and champion Cognizant's custom application offerings in market, collaborating across AI-led Legacy Modernization, AI-led SDLC, and Cloud platforms, including Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions
• Partner with Client Partners to develop and implement growth strategies and transformation roadmaps across small and mid-sized Insurance carriers
• Own lead generation, pipeline management, proposal development, and overall solution, and build comprehensive account plans to drive outcomes
• Engage CXO, VP, and Director-level clients, respond to RFPs, and lead pursuits as a pursuit owner to close new and expansion opportunities
• Create and present account pipeline, QBR presentations, and executive status reports, winning new business in line with agreed revenue and total-contract-value targets

What you need to have to be considered:

• Experience selling services with specific knowledge in selling digital and cloud solutions, including large-scale Enterprise Application modernization and migration
• Experience in at least one of Digital Experience, Digital Engineering, Enterprise Application Modernization, Application Maintenance/Support, or Quality Assurance, with a good understanding of at least one other area
• Ability to engage CxO-level and CxO-1 level executives in large deal, solution, transition, and transformation shaping discussions
• Understanding of the drivers and enablers of digital transformation, such as Data, Applications, and Cloud, and experience with global service delivery models
• Excellent problem solving, business communication, and client management skills, with demonstrated leadership across highly diverse and matrixed teams

• MS or MBA degree
• Strong background in a project environment and application development
• Ability to contribute to new business development efforts and lead multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
• Strong problem-solving abilities with the skills to identify strategic solutions to business problems with enterprise-wide implications
• Good understanding of Property & Casualty and Life & Annuity Insurance

Salary and Other Compensation:

• The annual salary for this position is between $170,000 - $185,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
• This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
