Key Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work and eligibility for state licensure
• Previous experience as a school social worker strongly preferred
• Ability to assess student needs and develop individualized support plans
• Skilled in crisis intervention, counseling, and conflict resolution
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Familiar with relevant laws and ethical guidelines relating to student support and confidentiality

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support and intervention services for students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
• Consult with teachers, school staff, and families to promote a positive learning environment
• Develop and implement strategies to help students overcome barriers to academic success
• Conduct assessments and create actionable reports and recommendations
• Serve as a resource for crisis intervention and coordinate with outside agencies as needed
• Advocate for students and connect families to community supports and resources
