Job Details Position: BAKER (full time, immediate hire) Location: Amgen - 720 Amgen Court, Newbury Park, CA 91320 (online applications only) Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm (full‑time) Requirement: 1–2 years of baking experience in the food‑hospitality industry; must be a team player. Benefits: Must be enrolled after a 90‑day introductory period. Pay Range: $21.00 to $24.00 per hour Job Summary Prepares baked goods according to recipes and production specifications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Bake breads, pies, cakes, cookies and other pastries per the provided production and catering sheets; assist in production planning to meet daily requirements. Ensure proper food preparation using approved recipes, adhering to production standards and equipment usage. Complete production records including waste tracking, used/unused portions and product shortages; inform supervisor when supplies are low. Ensure proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures. Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within the work area. Handle food items appropriately with all safety regulations in mind during preparation and service. Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments; keep display equipment clean and free of debris. Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, customer‑service oriented manner; relay concerns from customers to supervisors. Consistently exhibit the ability to keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently. Check that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards. Follow sanitation and safety principles, ensuring corporate and OSHA safety standards are met. Complete shift work as assigned, timely and thoroughly in accordance with department standards. Perform other duties as assigned.
