Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and hardworking Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our nursing home team on the 3:00 PM–11:00 PM shift. The CNA will provide direct resident care, assist with activities of daily living, promote resident dignity and independence, and work closely with nurses and other staff to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, and other personal-care needs.

  • Assist residents with meals, feeding, and hydration as needed.

  • Answer call lights promptly and respond to resident requests.

  • Assist residents with walking, transfers, repositioning, and use of mobility equipment.

  • Take and record vital signs and report changes in residents' conditions to the nurse.

  • Provide incontinence care and maintain residents' cleanliness and comfort.

  • Assist residents with their evening and bedtime routines.

  • Make beds and maintain clean, orderly resident rooms and common areas.

  • Document care provided accurately according to facility procedures.

  • Observe and report changes in residents' physical, mental, or emotional condition.

  • Treat every resident with dignity, respect, patience, and compassion.

  • Follow infection-control, safety, and facility policies and procedures.

  • Work cooperatively with nurses, CNAs, dietary staff, housekeeping, and other members of the care team.

  • Protect residents' privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of employment.

  • Previous nursing home or long-term care experience preferred.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare staff.

  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.

  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, lifting, transferring, and repositioning residents.

Schedule

11:00 PM–7:00 AM | Night Shift

This position is ideal for a CNA who enjoys providing compassionate evening care and helping residents feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for as they prepare for the night.
