Histotechnician II (Surgical Pathology) - Evenings

Position Title Full‑Time Histotechnician II at Missouri Baptist Medical Center (MBMC) - Surgical Pathology Dept. Position Details Monday through Friday 12 Hour Shifts, 3 Days Per Week 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Experience Prefer 2-3 years of histology (embedding/microtomy) experience Embedding, microtomy and IHC experience (preferred) Requirements High School Diploma or GED 2-3 years of histotechnician experience preferred HT (ASCP) certification or equivalent required Why Join Us? Perform tasks such as microtomy, embedding, staining, reagent preparation; document quality controls for all equipment and troubleshoot malfunctioning instrumentation as necessary; perform special stains and immunohistochemistry (manual or automated) after reagent preparation. Utilize critical thinking skills to perform above tasks and responsibilities. Trained to complete tissue gross examination as needed. Meet the High Complexity qualifications as written in CLIA 42CFR493.
