Position Overview

Our organization is in search of a General Counsel and Vice President of Legal & Compliance to spearhead our legal strategy within the cannabis advisory sector. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of legal, regulatory, and compliance issues, providing guidance to executives, and assisting clients as they navigate the dynamic landscape of cannabis legislation in Minnesota.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage licensing processes and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Draft and negotiate various contracts to support business operations.
• Develop and implement compliance frameworks tailored to the cannabis industry.
• Engage with state regulators to maintain open lines of communication.
• Create and enforce policies that promote ethical practices and compliance.
• Conduct training sessions for teams to enhance understanding of legal obligations.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with our consulting services.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Extensive experience in legal practice, particularly in regulatory compliance.
• Strong understanding of cannabis laws and regulations in Minnesota.
