Our growing OB/GYN practice is hiring a full-time Nurse Practitioner to work a M-F workweek, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. No Weekends! Locations: Phoenixville, Collegeville, Limerick, PA The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive, specialized care to women across the lifespan, focusing on reproductive health, gynecological issues, family planning, and wellness promotion. Practices under the standard procedureestablishedfor theNurse Practitionerrole consistent with company policy andin accordance withall legal requirements. Conducts age-appropriate assessments of patients, including history taking and physical examination consistent with department protocol. Performsroutinephysical examinationswithinscopeof practice, including pelvic examinations, breast examinations, PAP tests, and any relevant infection screenings.Performs IUD and Nexplanon insertions/removals , Endometrial Biopsies , works with Pessaries - education & maintenance; mayperform Colposcopies . Provides education on womens issues, preventative care, contraceptive methods, and lifestyle modifications. Ordersdiagnostictestsand prescribes medicationswithin scope of practice. Provides expert, compassionate care for women during the menopausal transition (perimenopause, menopause, postmenopausal) by managing symptoms like hot flashes, mood swings, and sleep issues, educating patients on treatment options (hormonal/non-hormonal), offering lifestyle advice (diet, exercise, supplements), and supporting overall well-being with evidence-based care. Manages prenatal, perinatal, and postpartum visits, screening for pregnancy complications and evaluating physical and mental wellbeing after birth. Confers with patients in person and by phone/electronically, collaborates with others in the department to ensure a smooth flow of patient care consistent with established quality indicators andparticipatesin the overall coordination of patient care. Performs assessment/data collection in an ongoing systematic manner, focusing on physiological, psychosocial, cultural,spiritualand cognitive status, patient/family education, family involvement, and patient advocacy. Consults with supervising physicians or other clinicians as dictated by patient needs and assessment findings. Participates with physicians and other clinicians in the department toensureeffective patient care consistent with quality indicators for patients cared for in the designated service. Reviews medical record for follow-up or ordering of diagnostic studies under established protocols. Establishes effective working relationships with members of the health care team, patients, and families. Demonstrates knowledge of and applies safety principles asidentifiedby the practice. Performs efficiently in emergency situations following established protocols,remainingcalm, informingappropriate people, and documenting events. Demonstrates knowledge of legal issues, including patient confidentiality and risk management in all aspects of patient care and unit functioning. Demonstrates a service philosophy in all interactions with patients, families, and all members of the health care team. Demonstratesproficiencyin the use of computers and telecommunication modalities to document,trackand convey information. Strong understanding of healthcare principles, including anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and pathophysiology. Ability to analyze complex situations, make sound clinical judgments, and adapt treatment plans as necessary. Effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.Ability toexplain diagnoses, treatment options, and procedures clearly and empathetically. Strong computerproficiencyandunderstanding and knowledgeofEHRand healthcare technologies. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team. Willingness to pursue continuing education and stay updated on advances in Womens Health. Must be able to work at each practice location as scheduled. Required Education & Experience: Masters or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MS, MSN, or DNP); withfocuson Womens Health highly preferred. Board certification in WHNP, FNP, ANP, or similar. Minimum 1 year Advanced Practice Nursing in Womens Health experience or Women's Health RN background Experience with eClinicalWorks a plus. Ability to work at all practice locations as scheduled.
