Sales Account Specialist

Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay: $21-$24/hour (DOE)

Overview

We are seeking a customer-focused and results-driven Sales Account Specialist to join a growing sales team in Phoenix. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, supporting customer retention efforts, and assisting with new customer acquisition. The ideal candidate will serve as a primary point of contact for customers, handling quotes, orders, account management, product inquiries, and sales support activities while building strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct customer support via phone and email.
• Prepare and deliver product quotes and process sales orders.
• Support customers with product recommendations, technical inquiries, and alternative solutions.
• Manage customer account information, including pricing and account maintenance within the ERP system.
• Process competitor product crossovers and identify equivalent solutions.
• Handle RMAs and product returns while coordinating with internal departments.
• Manage automated customer service platforms, EDI systems, and customer portals.
• Proactively engage with existing and prospective customers to identify opportunities and increase sales.
• Enter and track new sales opportunities within the system.
• Resolve customer account discrepancies, including pricing, contact information, and shipping details.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
• Assist with partner portal support and special projects as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to meet customer needs and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Track and communicate progress on assigned tasks and projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years of related experience will be considered.
• Previous experience in sales, account management, customer service, or business development.
• Experience with ERP and CRM systems is required.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Proven ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and reasoning abilities.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry-related experience or product knowledge.
• Experience supporting B2B customers and managing customer accounts.
• Familiarity with EDI systems and customer portals.

Work Environment

This position is primarily office-based in Phoenix, AZ. Occasional light warehouse work may be required, including assistance with inventory-related activities.
