The Pinwheel Kitchen Team Member executes prep, cooking, and station tasks to exact Pinwheel standards, maintains cleanliness and organization, and supports efficient service flow. This foundational role ensures every guest receives exceptional food quickly and safely, forming the backbone of consistent kitchen performance and guest satisfaction.

Accountability Chart

• Adhere to Food Safety Policies and Procedures: Follow all sanitation, handling, temperature, and safety standards consistently
• Maintain an Attractive Environment and Functional Environs: Keep stations, coolers, and BOH areas clean, organized, and inspection-ready
• Facilitate Positive Guest Engagement and Interactions: Engage guests warmly, support accurate order handoff, and enhance the guest experience whenever possible
• Maintain Knowledge of Menu Items: Know recipes, ingredients, and presentations to ensure quality execution and guest information

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and act in a manner consistent with our Mission, Vision & Values
• Prepare and cook menu items, dough, and prep to exact recipes, portions, and quality standards
• Set up, stock, and maintain organized stations; label, date, rotate (FIFO), and monitor hold times/temperatures
• Follow all sanitation, food safety, and cleanliness procedures; complete daily cleaning and side work tasks
• Assist with receiving, checking counts/quality, and proper storage of product; report any issues promptly
• Support accurate order assembly, handoff, and warm guest interaction when needed
• Communicate shortages, quality concerns, or equipment needs clearly and with urgency to keep service flowing

Required Qualifications

• Reliable pace, strong attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
• Basic knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, proper food handling, and knife
• Clear communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Comfort assisting guests and supporting front-of-house when directed
• Availability for nights, weekends, and peak business periods

Work Environment

• Standing for extended periods in a fast-paced kitchen with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to hot/cold environments (grills, ovens, walk-ins) and changing priorities during service
• Safe use of cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment per company procedures
