Looking for a stable, active role with a global leader in information security? Join our team in Hazelwood as a Destruction Technician, where you will play a vital role in secure shredding, material recycling, and facility operations. This long-term day-shift position offers steady hours, competitive weekly pay, and a direct path to permanent employment for a dependable worker.

Pay Rate: $15.68 /hr.

Duration: 12-months contract (temp-to-hire)

Schedule: M-F, 08:30 AM – 05:00 PM, 5 days a week, including a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks.

What you will do

• Process materials for destruction by emptying collection containers, dumping boxes manually from pallets, and sorting paper materials by grade while removing non-recyclable contaminants.
• Operate and maintain equipment including industrial shredders, material handling aids, and powered industrial trucks (PIT) while performing routine safety inspections and basic maintenance.
• Maintain chain of custody for all incoming and outgoing customer materials, ensuring strict compliance with security and privacy protocols.
• Load/unload delivery vehicles and keep the plant clean, safe, and organized following 5S Workplace Program standards.

What we are looking for

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience working in an operations, production, or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift heavy materials weighing 70–100 lbs and push/pull wheeled containers weighing up to 300 lbs on a regular basis.
• Must possess ASTM F2413-11 compliant safety-toe footwear with slip-resistant ratings of "Better" or "Best."
• Strong commitment to OSHA safety standards, excellent teamwork, and reliable communication skills.

Work Environment: This role operates in an active industrial plant setting. Temperatures on the production floor may fluctuate with external weather, and environments can be dusty or noisy (requiring PPE such as dust masks and ear protection).

Employment Note: This is a temporary/contract engagement focused on immediate operational support; standard corporate health benefits and paid time off are not provided during the initial contract duration.
