Sales and Catering Coordinator - Springhill Suites by Marriott Columbus Easton

We are hiring a Sales and Catering Coordinator. Our Sales and Catering Coordinators are important to the hotels success because they are a direct link between the front desk and our sales team. As the Sales and Catering Coordinator you are assisting our incoming reservation calls for groups and meetings, as well as assisting the sales team with contracts, room blocks and communication with the rest of the hotel team to assure our guests and corporate clients receive exactly what we promised! Key Role Responsibilities: Effectively and efficiently monitor and manage all aspects of the pre-event, event, and post-event details: Track, detail, and communicate the particulars of each assigned event and group -- including but not limited to -- room blocks, meeting space, special concessions, group history and other reports, cut-off and other key dates, contract clauses, group resumes, event orders and BEO’s, billing details, and other integral aspects of groups and events. Learn and use digital sales systems (i.e. SFA, Fosse, etc.) and understand the hotel’s revenue strategies (i.e. product pricing, budgeted goals, etc.). Due to the nature of groups and events, be willing and able to attend customer functions as needed. The Sales & Catering Coordinator may be required to work a varied schedule which may include some weekends if there is an event. Position starts at $19.00 per hour based on experience.
