Surgical Services - Sterile Processing Tech (SPT)

13-week Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) assignment working 8-hour variable day shifts (MondayFriday, approximately 7:00 AM3:30 PM). Every third weekend is required, with rounds completed from 7:00 AM3:00 PM, after which the technician remains on call if work is completed early. No holiday rotation is required. The SPT will support the Sterile Processing Department by ensuring surgical instruments and medical equipment are properly decontaminated, assembled, sterilized, and prepared for patient care. Floating to affiliated locations may be required based on staffing needs.

Requirements:

• Active Sterile Processing certification required
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification
• Associate Degree, Certificate, or equivalent Sterile Processing experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Sterile Processing experience preferred
• Knowledge of decontamination, instrument assembly, sterilization, and sterile storage procedures
• Ability to float to affiliated locations as needed
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and infection prevention practices
• Must reside outside the required facility radius at the time of assignment
