Key responsibilities include: Transport patients to the radiographic room, provide a verbal explanation of the process, assist patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed, and prepare and maintain the room as appropriate. Prepare related documentation in EMR and written documentation as required by the profession and the department, such as evaluation results, progress reports, and other such reports. Maintain X‑ray, supplies, and other equipment in efficient operating order and supply; ensure preventive maintenance is performed on a regularly scheduled basis; contact outside service for major malfunctions according to established guidelines. Maintain established department policies, procedures, objectives, and quality assurance program and safety. Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in‑service meetings, and workshops. Consistently meet quality standards and compliance with FCN standards and within the appropriate scope of practice. Seek assistance as needed and ask questions in a timely manner to appropriate staff. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Thorough knowledge of anatomy and skill in recognizing normal and abnormal variants and radiation safety. Knowledge of a medical office practice. Excellent computer skills and proficiency in working with MS Word, Excel, email and databases. Comprehend and communicate information accurately and clearly (verbally and in writing, in person and via phone) with patients, all levels of personnel, and other individuals and groups. Accurately perform detailed work (i.e., plan, multitask, organize and prioritize work). Works as part of a team that shares and leverages the strengths of its members. Discern and maintain confidentiality. Models a positive work ethic and customer‑friendly relations. Prioritize and multitask detailed projects with frequent interruptions. Solve problems, issues and concerns in a professional manner. Qualifications Graduate of an approved American Registry of Radiologic Technology program. Active Radiologic Technologist licensure through the Washington State Department of Health. One‑year diagnostic radiology experience preferred. Acquire and maintain BLS certification as per FCN BLS policy. Physical requirements: required to stand, walk, sit, use hand‑to‑finger coordination, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and listen attentively; must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Immunization requirements: Employees are required to meet immunization standards in accordance with federal, state, and organizational health and safety guidelines, as applicable to the role.
